Florist Required Cork
Busy Florist based in Ballincollig, Co. Cork seeks part time workers for the Christmas period. Duties to include preparation of arrangements both fresh and artificial, working with fresh spruce in the making up of door wreaths, posies etc. Also preparation of sundries including making up of aqua boxes, ribbons and accessories.
Experience is desirable, but not strictly essential. More importantly what is required is a good work ethic, a keen interest in the task at hand, ability to take instruction and work as part of a team, and a willingness to learn.

We are excited to offer a a part- time and full time position to an experienced florist and an assistant florist/ sales person at our new Dundrum store and also our Kilmacanogue store. The applicant ideally is an experienced florist with fluent english, a very strong knowledge on flower varieties and care with a creative flair for design and a background in retail.
Although the role will be predominantly based at one of our stores, the applicant may be required to travel to our other stores at busy periods and may also have the opportunity to work with our weddings and events team.
Key requirements for the role :
Experienced florist with a retail background
Creativity, flair and an eye for detail
Fluent English.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work well in a team
Full clean Irish. driving licence.
Have a good level of IT skills.
Florist Role Description
Working under direction from the Manager and/or Assistant Managers.
Lead by example in implementing the shop procedures.
Set up the daily displays of the store and keep in an orderly way.
Check flower stand, quality and freshness of all products
Flower conditioning
Making flower bouquets and arrangements to the highest standards following the correct procedures set by Joeanna Caffrey Flowers
Checking order file, telephone messages and emails
Excellent customer service.
Take orders in person, over the telephone or by emails, manage client’s expectations.
