Lemon-infused delight at Intrigued Experience 2023

We are honoured to have had the incredible opportunity to be invited to the most amazing flower conference, the Intrigue Experience, held in Easton, Maryland. The brain child of Sarah Campbell of Intrigue Design along with here team led by the exceptional Jordan and Allison. The experience was nothing short of magical, filled with breathtaking blooms, inspiring discussions, and warm hospitality.
Bursting with Sunshine
The Intrigue Experience lived up to its name, providing an intriguing palette of floral wonders. The venue the Tidewater Inn was transformed more and more each day as Florists and Floral Educators from all over the world created an array of yellow-themed show stopping structures that left everyone jaw on the floor as we entered every room
Lemon Hues and Floral Fashion
Adding to the sunshine atmosphere was the incredible lemon and yellow colored attire worn by all attendees. It was as if the entire venue had bloomed in a riot of lemony hues. The vibrant outfits mirrored the lively spirit of the Intrigued Experience, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie among flower enthusiasts from around the world.

As two Irish girls navigating the conference, we were blown away by the warm and inviting atmosphere. Everyone we encountered, from the florists, the educators, the event organizers, the sponsors, the hotel staff and even our Uber Drivers extended a genuine American welcome. We felt like we were now part of a global flower family, where the language of flowers transcended borders.
Learning and Growing Together
The Intrigued Experience gathered some of the most exceptional educators in the field, who generously shared their wealth of knowledge. Day 2 and Day 3 saw workshops from the cream of the crop, there were 6 workshops in total and every attendee gave amazing feedback after each and every one of them. The workshops, lectures, and hands-on demonstrations provided invaluable insights into the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in the world of floristry. The exchange of ideas among participants created a bouquet of knowledge that will continue to bloom in our craft.
The Floral Paradise of the Tidewater Inn, Easton, Maryland
The conference was held in an awe-inspiring venue that served as the perfect canvas for the floral masterpieces on display. Every corner was a symphony of colors and fragrances, creating an immersive experience for all the senses. The attention to detail in both the floral arrangements and the event setup, curated by the exceptional educators & sponsors, was truly commendable.
Feasting for the Soul
The Intrigued Experience is not only indulged our floral senses but also treated our taste buds to a delightful culinary journey. The menu, crafted with precision, was a carefully curated selection of local delights, reflecting the richness of Maryland's culinary culture. Dining amidst the blooms adds an extra layer of delight to our overall experience.
The Goody Bags and Gifts
As a delightful surprise, every participant received amazing goody bags and gifts throughout. Practical items and fun novelty items a touch of excitement to the entire experience. From lemon shaped candles to floristry tools and Apron, a yellow water bottle and stickers so we could all personalise our bottles, each gift was a charming reminder of the unforgettable time spent at the Intrigued Experience.
What brought us to Intrigued Experience?
Our role this year at Intrigued Experience was to educate florists on Janette’s top 10 tips of creating Hand Tied Spiral Bouquets, either for them selves or when they are training their staff. They were fun filled workshops with lots of tips and knowledge generously shared and amazing spiral bouquets created, and everyone attending got a free access code to our Hand Tied Bouquet online Course so they could refresh or show their staff.
A reluctant farewell and a conference we wont forget.
As the Intrigued Experience came to a close, there was a collective sentiment of reluctance to leave. The bonds formed, the knowledge gained, the friendships made and the memories created made saying goodbye bittersweet. Every participant left with a heart full of inspiration and a longing to stay amidst the flowers a little while longer.
The Intrigued Experience was not just an event; it is a celebration of floristry, friendship, and shared passion. As Irish florists, we left with our hearts blooming with gratitude for the warm welcome, the vibrant blooms, the exceptional educators, and the treasure trove of gifts. Until the next floral adventure, may your days be as colorful as a field of yellow-themed flowers!
Intrigued Experience 2024 will take place on 4th, 5th & 6th of November, it is moving to a new venue - yet to be revealed and we have been promised, if you think this conference was amazing, next year is already in the planning and already they believe it will surpass this year, now we are not sure how they will do this
